Welcome to our little corner of the metroplex known as Oak Creek Estates. We have a close community with a little over 200 homes, so you have a wonderful opportunity to really get to know your neighbors. Our neighborhood is tucked back in the far northeast section of Carrollton, located in Denton County and zoned to Lewisville ISD. We are just a hop, skip and a jump away from a variety of great venues including restaurants, family outdoor activities, churches, and shopping. Our neighborhood is also close to the Dallas North Tollway, the George Bush Turnpike & the Sam Rayburn / 121 Tollway, so you can get to many parts of the metroplex with ease.
Here you’ll find great public schools in Lewisville ISD, including Homestead Elementary, Arbor Creek Middle School, Hebron 9th Grade Center, as well as Hebron High School. In addition, there is a fine selection of private schools close by, including Carrollton Christian Academy, Prestonwood Christian Academy, Prince of Peace Christian School, Trinity Christian Academy and Prince of Peace Catholic School.
Our neighborhood has an active HOA which promotes and hosts annual events such as the always popular Easter Egg hunt, the July 4th parade, the Fall picnic, and every month during the Spring & Summer there’s a household that gets the distinction of being honored with the Yard of the Month award. There are several neighborhood groups established that meet regularly to have fun – they’re a great way to meet and keep in touch with your neighbors. Those include a monthly Bunko group, a Bible study group, as well as others. There are many ways to volunteer & get involved in our community as well.
On the north end of our neighborhood, you’ll find a city park which many residents use regularly, because it’s easily accessible from all parts of Oak Creek. Here you can enjoy access to two playground areas, a gazebo for picnics, a basketball court for shooting hoops, walking trails which are a little over a half mile in distance, and a park for running around, flying kites, playing soccer, Frisbee throwing, etc – you get the idea. In fact, it is in this park area where the neighborhood Easter Egg hunt and Fall family picnic are held each year. You’ll also find the highly acclaimed Oak Creek Tennis Center over here, which features 12 lighted hard surface courts. The Center is staffed by several USPTA certified tennis professionals and a variety of adult and junior programs are offered for all ages from beginner to advanced levels. For the tennis spectator, there are shaded benches for convenient and comfortable viewing, and there’s a pro shop on the premises which includes rackets, stringing services, as well as a variety of accessories for sale.
And for those adventurers who seek a bit more challenging terrain, you’ll find the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve just a short distance away. These trails offer miles of hilly concrete pedestrian and bike trails, as well as off-road trails for the nature hikers & biking enthusiasts.
We are happy to welcome you to Oak Creek Estates, and invite you to enjoy the many wonderful events, activities and opportunities available in our neighborhood & surrounding areas.
